Enjoy a different pace of island exploration with a guided horseback ride. Meet the riding team, get introduced to a suitable horse and set out along the approved route. Coastal or trail sections depend on the operator and conditions, and your comfort and the horses’ welfare guide the experience.

Explore at the pace of a horse rather than from a vehicle. The riding team introduces you to a suitable horse and explains the basics before the group sets off. Tell the operator honestly about your experience so the outing can be matched to your comfort. Follow the guide’s instructions throughout the ride and take in the changing island surroundings. The actual trail, any coastal section and available equipment are confirmed before booking; a beach ride is not automatically included.

What to expect

1. Pickup details

   Cruise guests: send your ship name, arrival port, arrival time and all-aboard deadline. Carlos confirms your meeting point and pickup time before the tour; follow his instructions rather than another company’s port directions.

   Hotel and island guests: send the name and location of your accommodation. Confirm the pickup point, any transfer cost and your return arrangements directly with Carlos.

   Discuss riding experience and listen to the guide’s instructions.

   Guided ride

   Follow the approved island route with the riding team.

   Island scenery

   Enjoy the views and take photos only when it is safe and permitted.

5. Return & drop-off

   Agree the return location and time before setting off. Cruise guests should keep to the ship’s time and allow for the all-aboard deadline; the day’s route is planned around the schedule you provide.

Before you go

Listed at $65 per person. Ask about age, weight and health restrictions, helmets and the exact route before booking. A beach ride is not assumed unless confirmed. Children aged 4 and under receive free transportation on all tours. Admission and activity fees are separate.

What to bring

Long trousers, closed-toe shoes, sun protection and water.
