Discover Roatán’s underwater world on a boat-based dive guided by dive professionals. The dive plan is matched to your experience and the day’s conditions, with a briefing before entering the water. Reef life varies naturally: colorful fish and coral may be seen, but no particular animal sighting is promised.

Roatán’s reef is the setting for this boat-based underwater experience. Before departure, the dive professionals review your certification and experience, discuss equipment and choose an appropriate dive plan. On the boat, listen to the site briefing before entering the water with your guide. Beneath the surface, look for reef fish and coral formations while controlling your buoyancy and avoiding contact with the reef. The number of dives and equipment arrangements must be agreed with the operator, especially for a first-time diver.

What to expect

1. Pickup details

   Cruise guests: send your ship name, arrival port, arrival time and all-aboard deadline. Carlos confirms your meeting point and pickup time before the tour; follow his instructions rather than another company’s port directions.

   Hotel and island guests: send the name and location of your accommodation. Confirm the pickup point, any transfer cost and your return arrangements directly with Carlos.

   Dive check-in

   Discuss certification, experience, health requirements and equipment with the dive operator.

   Boat ride & briefing

   Travel to a suitable site and review the dive plan and safety procedures.

   Guided reef dive

   Explore with your dive professional while keeping a respectful distance from coral and marine life.

5. Return & drop-off

   Agree the return location and time before setting off. Cruise guests should keep to the ship’s time and allow for the all-aboard deadline; the day’s route is planned around the schedule you provide.

Before you go

Certification requirements, number of dives, equipment rental and medical eligibility must be confirmed with the operator. Beginners should ask about a suitable introductory program. Minimum 2 guests Children aged 4 and under receive free transportation on all tours. Admission and activity fees are separate.

What to bring

Swimwear, towel, certification card if applicable and the documents requested by the dive operator.
